My mum and Nan use Wiltshire Farm foods and find theyโre really good.
My mum had Wiltshire and they looked good, and she liked them, they had choice I used to cook another portion for her as well and also M&S do some excellent single portion foods. Ocado do stock them now and might help ring the changes.
Thank you for this. My sister in law had a fall on holiday and my brother cannot cook so I was going to send them some meals to help out.
I hope she is better soon and I'd just add for a chap the portions are not big really as I think its for 2/3 courses. My mum didn't have a sweet tooth so we ordered her the larger portion size. Ocado can be expensive ( I think anyway but M&S don't deliver yet, so no choice.) I used to buy a pie and add the veg. myself and my mum liked a curry and chilli so was easy to cook for. Shepherds pie and fish pie were hits as well; our son had gone to Uni so I just carried on cooking for us and saving a portion. My mums "left overs" !!! xx
I know Summerrain mentioned she used a lovely meals delivery company. Hope she sees this and tells you.
Hello if itโs ready made meals delivered you want then Cook do decent frozen ones, lots of variety and deliver to most postcodes.cookfood.net/
Parsley Box is a meal delivery service.
Thank you! I did not realise so many companies existed๐บ
Hi, I used Wiltshire Farm Foods when I came out of hospital. They are fantastic. Can highly recommend them. Just let me know if you need the contact details. Sorry for late reply. Just finished work after having a week off so just catching up on messages. x
Thank you very much. My brother said he boiled an egg in 1974 so he thought they would cope๐ค
Brothers! That rang a bell! I hope they can sort something out. Nice you are helping them.
He is in his late seventies. Went on holiday last week and she fell of a pavement breaking her hip. So sad as they had both been shielding. But his idea of cooking is toast and cornflakes for tea yesterday it was jam and toast so I thought a good box might help
That is a great shame, I hope your sister in law has a speedy recovery. My sis in law was in hospital two years ago and I know my brother had some takeaways. I have also had wiltshire farm foods as well as Parsley Box, they are good but I added extra veg, especially if puddings aren't required.
Thank you! Such a shame they have been shielding for eighteen months booked a mini break and ended up in A and E. home by ambulance 240 miles she said staff were superb.
I use Parsley Box. Can recommend!
Hello Green
All those already mentioned are good choices; my neighbour uses Wiltshire Farm Foods, so I know they deliver in this area (Kent). I've used Cook many times - they started their business here in Kent decades ago. We always get our Christmas goodies from them and whenever we have guests - but guests are out of the question just now. It's all frozen so can be handy if you don't feel up to cooking.
Most meals cook from frozen - some are microwaveable. Puddings, tarts and cakes are delicious. They use high quality ingredients.
I daresay there are others in your own particular area as well.
Happy eating!
Thank you for your reply. My sister in law broke a hip on holiday which has made my brother chef! His idea of recouperative food is jam on toast so I thought I would send ready food to help
Hi, hope you are having a good day. I use Wiltshire Farm Foods, Parsley Box and Oakhouse Foods as some days I don't feel like cooking for one although starting to make more use of the slow cooker again. Happy with the customer service, delivery times, quality and variety but lean towards Wiltshire Farm Foods. Enjoy.๐ธ๐
Thank you for your help
wiltshire Farm foods are excellent, my hubby delivered them until he retired, no minimum order either x
