I haven’t been posting for a while but recently got the go ahead to start Cimzia alongside MTX injections as 2 years in to treatment the RA is not that improved and my DAS at last appointment was 6.7.
I’ve had all the tests and am now waiting as Rheumatology told me the Cimzia is delivered direct to patients by a pharmacy (Lloyd’s I think) who also then send a nurse to teach you how the injector works.
How long should I expect to wait? It’s 3 weeks since the hospital approved the Cimzia but 2 since all the tests. It feels out of my control as I just have to passively wait to be contacted about delivery. I am not provided with any contact details. I’m curious how long other people have waited? My fingers are getting much worse this week and all joints are stiff.
Many thanks

It’s health care at home who delivers and come to teach you Injecting, not Lloyd’s pharmacy. Google healthcare at home and maybe give them a call my rheumy said 2 weeks for my cimzia to be delivered and shown how to inject when it in fact took 6 weeks.
Thanks. Chased hospital and after a bit of going round the houses there, I just spoke to Lloyd’s and am on their system but have to await a further call about delivery. Just want to get on with it
