I have been complaining to my doctors for well over a year about how bad my pain is and it’s gettkng worse every week to the point that my hands are drawn and my knees are swollen my shoulders and neck hurt to bad that I can’t take it my blood work was done for the RA and all of the panels were extremely high I didn’t write down what they were just know she said they were all elevated but that the ccp or something was extremely high this was after I asked to been sent to a rheumatologist she decided to do the blood work now more waiting for an appointment to get in I’m just kinda wondering how long it will take to start helping my pain once I get into see a doctor

Did you get given any anti inflammatories whilst waiting for rheumy appointment. They don’t stop the disease from progressing but do help with the pain.

Hi,

Once you get your rheumy appointment ring them and let them know you’ll take a short notice cancellation appointment if one comes up that way you may be seen sooner rather than later.

Sorry I would give a longer reply but do spend time researching on here just diagnosed posts as you will glen some info from them... I will try and get back to you later with some other pointers if others haven’t already done so.

If you put in a search term like 'first appointment' into the search box, you should find lots of helpful posts on what to expect.

She is in the process of getting me the appointment said she should have it made by tomorrow and I have been on 800 ibuprofen for long time for just regular arthiritis i went to the emergency room a few weeks ago I had been awake and could not sleep for several days they gave me a toradol shot which is for inflammation and that helped a little for a couple days thank you all for your responses sometimes pain cam make you feel like your gonna lose your mind

Hi just to let you know it was 6 months before I was seen, I feel it for you I can only describe the pain as if a rat is knawing at my bone, the only people who have it understand The pain ,I have been taking MTX , I take 4 a week now, I have also stated on CBD oil , please check this out as this has also help manage my pain , go to health shop , or Holland Barrett , good luck
