๐๐Well the teacakes are rather nice aren't they, I used to be hooked on them a few years back.
Hubby and son are addicted.. could be worse
You could always join them! ๐๐

๐๐
๐๐๐๐คข๐คข agree theyโre not nice ๐๐
One person sticking up for me ... thanks Gottaloveastaffy ๐
After your post a few weeks ago about your husbands supermarket trip and tunnocks tea cake haul I had to go buy some and afraid im with him on these ๐คฃ
Yum yum
Let me down M๐
You're outnumbered J. ๐
Your stirring things up springcross ๐๐๐
Whoops! You really are outnumbered now J! ๐คญ๐๐
Your in a naughty mood this morning springcross ๐๐๐too much chocolate ๐
๐๐ Not yet, I'm abstaining for a few hours! ๐
God help us when you start ๐๐
๐๐๐
Happy Easter by the way. x
An after thought springcross ๐๐๐ I know my place ๐๐๐ oh I have had a laugh this morning. Nearly wet myself twice .. I know TMI x
Yes I hadn't long got up and was making a cuppa when a text came through from a friend saying Happy Easter - until then I was still half asleep. I'm glad you've had a laugh this morning - hope it continues through the day (it must be the Tunnocks). So you've nearly done it twice - just be thankful it wasn't one continuous one! ๐๐๐
Clarification is needed here - would he want the tea cake or the caramel water in Easter egg form?
I love their caramel wafers.... ๐
Yea cake definitely
I think he might have the right idea.....we canโt do sweet fanny adams about lots of awful things right now, so having a moment of escapism sounds a good thing to do! Better than fretting yourself into a flare.
Mind you Iโm not sure I have any idea what a Tunnocks teacake is? If theyโre horrible Iโll change my mind as say heโs nuts!
Imagine a small round biscuit a bit like a digestive and put a dollop of marshmallow on top. Cover it all with chocolate and there you have a Tunnock's tea cake
Tunnocks tea cakes are quite scrumptious, I haven't had one for ages though.
It must be years since I had one. I liked them as a child but then I liked gipsey tart and chocolate popcorn
Chocolate popcorn? That's a new one on me.
Open the flat bottom off two.Stick them together and refix the wrapper.Make it a mini Tunnocks Easter egg.I reckon that could be chased down a hill.....Hey helixhelix there worth a try honest! I put them up there with Jaffa cakes and Maltesers.Oh and over indulgence
He needs no encouragement ๐
There is a Tunnockโs Cheesecake Recipe he might like in the meantime ๐ Bourbons and tea cakes in the crust....and tea cakes on top. Pic below, recipe here: goodhousekeeping.com/uk/foo...
I know, I know...but it is Easter ๐ฃ๐ผโ๏ธ๐
Stop โ right there LoneEra ๐
๐๐๐๐
That wasnโt tunnocks.....Was that not Meatloaf lyrics?
I need to think of a replacement for the bourbons or Perhaps Iโll just have a tunnocks
That sounds yummy. Definitely on my list if only there was one lol. Happy Easter ๐ฃ
Happy Easter ๐ฃ x
Ooh Tunnocks Teacake Easter egg - now THAT sounds delicious! Sorry, but Iโm with your hubby on this lol ๐๐๐
๐ฑyou lot are ganging up on me ๐
I think he needs to make it and let us all taste test! ๐๐
Told him about the replies to his idea .. heโs going to patent it ๐ should have stayed quiet. Life will be unbearable now ๐
Hes enjoying the glory during this miserable time. Good on him lol
Oooh dear J, not looking good for you ๐ ๐๐
He s clearly Tunnock focused. Not blinkered at all x
An OCD man .. everything taken too far ๐๐ . Morning Dee x
Im with him 100% heโs got my vote! Tunnocks=obsessive cake disorder.......
Oh noooo another one ๐ฑ๐ฑ
๐ดโโ ๏ธ๐ดโโ ๏ธ (the GB flag came out as GB??) ๐
One of the Bake Off technical challenges was to make teacakes (the Tunnock type) so maybe you should have a go J1707 ๐
No chance !!! ๐คซIโm not telling him
bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/choc...
Not looking ๐
We could tell him for you if you like??
Nice try .. that wonโt happen ๐๐
Coward! ๐ณ๏ธ ๐
My Hubby ready to sign the petition ๐๐
๐โโ๏ธ๐คฆโโ๏ธcanโt take anymore ๐๐
Well it is the time for chocolate. I always wanted a Fryโs Creme egg. This year Wilko did one
You waited along time for that .. enjoy
What a great idea, I used to stay near the Tunnocks factory and the smell of caramel used to waft around the village. Oh Iโd gladly eat an egg filled with gooey stuff. Must put them on my shopping list this week.
๐another one ๐
Hi there!
Happy Easter!๐ณ
I'm very sorry you have been so ganged up on today! I hope your hubby realises what he's started here! ๐
I think it's time you had support from the other side ...... I'm totally with you on this one. Here goes ...... I'm coming out as ANTI-TUNNOCKS!! Shock, horror! Way too sickly for me!๐คข Just the thought of the packaging ..... eugh!๐
Down with the Tunnock propaganda!๐๐๐
I knew there was a reason why I like you ๐๐ค๐ป๐ค ANTI-TUNNOCKS FOR EVER!! ๐
Hahaha! Glad you've found a reason๐๐๐! DOWN WITH TUNNOCKS!!๐๐๐
๐ฎ๐ฑ Iโm shocked!!!!
Creep!! ๐๐
I object!๐๐ I'm just showing solidarity for a cause I believe in ..... honest!! ๐๐
Yeh right!! ๐๐
Tis true!๐ I repeat - DOWN WITH TUNNOCKS! ๐๐I am unanimous in that!
DOWN WITH TUNNOCKS๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ปTunnocks haters united โ๐ปโ๐ป
Sorry, I can't hear you, what did you say?? ๐คญ

Now now! ๐ข๐คช
I should have said TUNNOCKS to you!! ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Take those tea-cakes out of your ears - then our protest will be loud and clear!๐ ๐
Go Kags ...๐
She's a bully! ๐
No sheโs not .. just principled.. sheโs unique. .. so there ( no raspberry emoji. Gotta imagine it ) ๐
That's like me with the no GB flag - I had to use a white one ๐๐๐
Here here! ๐โ
๐ฑ๐ฑ you've scared me now! ๐๐
Be very scared ๐๐๐๐ Iโve enjoyed all this . X
So have I, it makes a nice change to be daft! Time for chocolate now? x
Yep Iโm a glass of wine too x
Ginger beer for me! x
Trouble is if we all bend a knee in support we will never get up!
And its a good question too ! Easter Eggs used to fill the boxes and be think chocolate now sadly a lot of packing and thin chocolate. I went to local chocolate artisan shop in West Malling and bought some home made chocolates for a real treat. xx
A few years ago they did half caramel and half mallow, not sure they do them anymore(not Tunnocks though ๐) they were yummy, love your hubby's addiction to Tunnocks ๐๐๐๐
LOL perhaps he can write to Tunnocks and suggest this! ๐คช I used to fantasise as a child that they theyโd make a giant Cadburyโs creme egg like a standard Easter egg size and it would be full of gooey white and yellow fondant creme. Youโd have to eat it with a dessert spoon. My tastes have changed (and so has Cadburyโs choc ๐คจ!) and the thought of eating a huge creme egg makes me feel rather .... ๐คข x
Your so right since Cadburyโs were bought out by Kraft chocolate looks plastic and seems overly sweet as well as shrinkage ๐คฌif it works leave it alone x
Heโs composing a letter ๐far too much encouragement from here has gone to his head ๐
He might get credited with the conception of a new Easter egg and be famous! Yes, Kraft made Cadburyโs slimey and shiny. Their old dusky yummy less sugary chocolate was wonderful. Part of our childhood. ๐
I fear gone forever ๐ญ
Yes .. that wonderful Cadburyness has to be a distant memory of our taste buds! Do you remember the slim bars of purple foiled Cadburyโs and the Cadbury oval logo embossed on them? They were the childrenโs smaller bars. About 6 ins in length and an inch width and slim in depth. Ahh I wish someone would reformulate it! ๐
Ooh, I remember those little bars. Loved them. They seemed very grown-up and sophisticated to me as they had the fancy writing on them!๐
I completely agree that Cadbury's chocolate isn't the same any more, but it's still my favourite chocolate. Two of my all-time favourites are Fruit and Nut, and Whole Nut. To this day, every time I have either of those I have to sing either "Everyone's a fruit and nut case" (was that Frank Muir in the old advert, or was I hallucinating); or "Nuts whole hazelnuts. Cadbury's make them and they cover them in chocolate!" Those were the days of good jingles in adverts!! ๐๐
๐คฃ๐คฃ
That would be great if they did. If he starts a petition I'll sign ๐
Not another one ๐definitely out numbered on this ๐๐
Had a Scottish mother and brought up in Northumberland. Loved them as long as I can remember. ๐๐
