Bad news

Hi all, off topic, my lovely brother Hughie has died today in hospital with pneumonia and he had also broke his collar bone a few weeks ago. He was going to ICU when he passed Way. But before that he had been texting to his daughter right up until falling asleep and passing away. Leeds are in lockdown so I could not go see him. We are just waiting for the funeral to be arranged. I thought he was coming home so it's a big shock! He often use to come on here! Take care x

Oh Carol, that's absolutely dreadful I'm so sorry to hear this. Goodness it never rains does it. My brother died suddenly and unexpectedly last year so I know what an awful shock it is. Sincere condolences to you and his family. Thinking of you all. xx

I was so sad to hear about your brother, Hughie. It is never the "right time" when someone dies. but to expect him home safe and to lose him, is heart wrenching. It was good to hear he was in contact with his daughter until he fell asleep. That is a precious memory she and you will have in time to come, which hopefully will give you some comfort. My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope you are able to support each other in these severely restricted times.

I don't know what name he used on here. It was him that got me on this site when I was diagnosed with RA. I thought at the. Time my old life had ended but it's just different! X

That is so sad, especially when you thought he would be coming home. My brother passed away in June and I was only allowed in hours before he passed away, he had vascular dementia, it is a very upsetting time. xx
