Returning to work

I have my rota up to return to work. I have 3 1/2 hours on Sunday which is a training day and 2hours on Tuesday. I have my normal shift on Thursday 6 to 12 midday. I will only be working Tuesday and Thursday and a maximum of 12 hours and the rest on furlough.

It will be a struggle to get back to getting up at 5am for my normal hours, but I cannot complain as had nearly 4 months off. I am only working these 2days because of the RA with the suppressed immune system and I hopefully won't be in contact with anyone else on these two days! I am a breakfast chef!

Thanks for listening.

It sounds like a small step towards normality to me Carolsos. I don't envy you the 5 o'clock starts as 'been there, done that' but I used to enjoy finishing in time to enjoy the rest of the day. I hope it goes smoothly for you with no nasty pay back. *Hugs*

Hi

Oh I feel for you , I'm in the same boat I too health wise in same position.

But thank the lord I dont have to get up that early.

Dreading going back, n my job is close contact with people as I work in a jewellery store.

I'm currently talking with my employer regarding covid safe.

There are not too many guide lines on us shielding people returning to work.

My doctors wont commit to it's safe to go back , and what I can n can not do.

Are you going to be in close contact with others in your job ? Are you worried ?

Boris has spoken n just let us all out with no guide lines.

Unless they publish some on the 1st of August .

Is your company good with the whole safety aspect of things ?

Be good to hear of others in this situation?

Xx dee

I am not worried just apprehensive! I am getting nervous, but only because it's all different and new. My boss is very good with the safety aspects. I should not be in contact for long hopefully. I think for the 1st 4hours I should be on my own and then the next 2hours with an other person. We will be wearing visors at work. Thanks for listening.

Ps I will update after I have been to work.
