Hi everyone well as promised i thought i would give you all a update, I went back to work last Tuesday, got there at 330, had a chat with my manager and started work at 4pm, as i said it was only for 2 and half hours and i was so looking forward to it, The staff were welcoming but my first customers wasn't, not a surprise there then, i have worked in food retail for 25 years, so i have great experience in dealing with them, so by using my professionalism i polity Carried on serving her with a big smile, When leaving work i had My private chauffeur outside waiting for me and when i arrived home i was served my dinner by darling daughter Katie. :))))),

unfortunately my knees were sore and weak so i needed to have a rest, but then i feel a sleep and couldn't sleep that evening, When i woke up in the morning i couldn't believe how stiff i was and i didn't have the energy to get out of bed, i can't believe that 2 and half hours could do this to me, but it was all fun and i really needed to do this which i believe has helped me, My manager had told me that he had put me in on Friday, but if i wasn't up to it to let him know on Thursday, Well i decided to give it another go even thou my wrists were a bit sore that morning, unfortunately now i have a support badge on it and it is really painful, i had a chat with him this morning and we have decided that i just do the 2 days at the moment until i see my Rheumy on the 15th, it always seems to be the right one properly because that's the one i used more, So it is going to be a relaxing weekend hoping that this wrist is a lot better on Tuesday, take care everyone and thank you all so much for your support, I really don't know how i would of coped over the past 9 months with not having you all to chat, So chat again soon XXXX

Heya :) So happy you have a wonderful boss who is taking your health seriously!! And well done for remaining professional and friendly with a difficult customer, I remember I used to struggle with rude customers and it was hard not to take it personally!! I hope you have a very relaxing weekend and that you feel great again by next week at work :) It';s always great to hear a success story! Best of luck, Christine xx

Hi Shirley good to hear that you gave it a go again on fri but sorry to hear that you are now suffering with your wrist, hope you have a good restful weekend and nice that the family are supporting you so you dont have to do much when you get in. I am still managing to work but do find that if I work a 7.5 hour shift i feel it and stiffen up but have been lucky to find shifts of 4-6 hours which I can cope with. Hope you manage to carry on with the short shifts

take care crisxx
