3 weeks now I have walked Darcy 2 miles every morning. Woke this morning stiff and sore had to take codeine, Etoricoxib and paracetamol but determined to walk. 1/2 a mile less but it took an extra 45 minutes. Hate when this disease beats me I’m a bad looser.
Thanks for listening to my grump. I’m off for a kip.
Like you i hate it when i can't do something. This pneumonia is giving me a good kicking and i have to rest a lot more than usual. I have become comatose by the time this is gone. If you see a mummy walking around with pink hair that will be me. lol xxxx
You did it though! Well done. I'm sure the lovely Darcy was grateful for every step you took.
Just a thought, I take my etoricoxib in the evening, always have with any NSAID as recommended by my first Consultant. The intention being that it helps with morning stiffness, lessening the ouchiness til I make it to the shower & the warm water does it's good work.
Thanks for the tip. I’ve not had to use for awhile although I was ropey yesterday this took me by surprise this morning. Yesterday must have been a warning. Will notice in future
Like NMH says you did it though and good for you and I'm sure Darcy wasn't complaining or out with a watch or measuring the distance today. Sometimes and I am equally as guilty we beat ourselves up when we should turn it around and think well yes it wasn't as far. but I still did it or I didn't get X, Y and Z done but I did X and that was ok. Anyway hope the warm shower has eased things for you, now then time for a rest....you did what you set out to do so be proud and feel good inside...Darcy will be content I'm sure. x
You are a fighter for sure! You did the walk and I bet Darcey loved the extra 45 mins. You are much stronger than you think however I fully appreciate what a battle it has been for you. You should be so proud of yourself.
