Hi. Does, anyone take methotrexate17.5 and have bronchiostasis and received a letter. I am self isolating and will continue to do so regardless but would still like to know which category I am in. Not clear because no-one has ever explained to me what bronchiostasis is. I was told I had slight emphysema a few years ago and given an inhaler. When I went to see my GP some time later with another matter he said I didn't need an inhaler and I was fine but ever since I have had bronchiostasus on my list of conditions. I suppose I should have asked but it has never been a problem and Ihaven't really thought about it since until now.

Isolation letter
Hi Sheila
This flowchart will help clarify for you. Letters in some parts of the UK are still to be sent, running late.

It has been posted by a few people in the last week. Take care of yourself.
There are different scoring charts floating around which are not completely consistent so it is a bit confusing. Here is one of them, and on this you would score 2 as bronchiostasis is a lung disease. But it’s great that its stable, so long may it continue to be.
Look on the british lung foundation site too Sheila, it will explain bronchiestasis to you and also how to cope with the condition xxx

Thanks Allanah. ....yes. right this time. I did look on British Lung Foundation and scared myself. I am extremely fortunate by the sound of it. I have no symptoms at all. I think I am going to get a second opinion when we are back to some sort of normality. I am sure they've made a mistake. Hoping so anyway. x
