Had a phone call from work asking for confirmation I can’t work ( work in a primary school) asked Gp for sick note answer was no as there has been no clarification. ( I haven’t received letter) Rather abrupt. Get it they are under pressure. Explained meds again and nature of work. Told them had contact with Rheumatologist nurse and had been told I’m vulnerable . A bit of argy bargy outcome a sick note for 12 weeks . Why so difficult???

Good on you darling we don't any jobsworths at the moment do we.xxx
Always go by what the hospital tells you my gp put me under as low risk which the nurse who does my bloods there couldnt understand but then i received a video yesterday via txt from my hospital explaining the virus and RA patients and it said on that anyone with RA is classed as at risk some higher than others because of medication but it said that we are classed as having more risk than anyone without im hoping i can ring my hospital to find out for sure what i personally come under but never 100% listen to your gp mine can be very abrupt at times i always just go by what my nurses and consultant tell me
I'm not surprised. My friend is an advanced nurse practitioner in a GP practice, the receptionist has RD and injects biologics, but is well controlled. The GPs say she has to carry on as normal as she is not in the shielding group.
Other staff are very concerned for her on the front line, dealing with patients face to face.
But good for you, I say repeatedly on this site, if you accept poor care that's what you often get.
Stay strong and look after yourself...and others.
I'm confused - isn't the primary school where you work closed?
No open for key workers Children they also open over the Easter holidays
Oh, OK. Yes, rudeness is something that I am coming to expect from various quarters! I had to threaten a formal complaint over a total lack of interest in my migraine medication prescriptions, pointing out that the hospital A and E were furious that I had ended up there 3 times. They said that it was up to GP to manage my condition which they were clearly not doing. I did get an apology and long overdue 'repeat' prescription for Sumatriptan injections and enough to see me through the next few weeks meaning I don't have to bother with appointments and turning up at an already overloaded surgery every five minutes - but I had to make that point clear to them, in fact I've been trying to for about 2 years...
I've also left our village community Facebook page as I can hear the banging of pitch forks.
So sorry you are having such a battle with this. There is so much conflicting advice about the letters isn’t there? Really hope it gets sorted very soon for you, all this additional stress and pressure is not good.
I’m a secondary school teacher and any staff who are in the vulnerable group have not been put in the rota for keyworker kids and have been told they MUST work from home. One of the leadership team has not had a single day off sick in 20 years and now has to WFH because of his asthma- rules are rules. I’m shocked that you have had to prove you fall into this category!
I am happy that it is sorted for you xx
