As I remember I worked a three day week, so if I was off three days plus my days off that was a week, but if I took three days off and worked the next three with my bosses permission to swap it didn't count. You do only need one for the week off, and nowadays on the back the doctor can also add things like she should only return to work two days a week for example if they feel that is what you need. Or can suggest you get more help with aids to use at work too.

Hi allanah, thanks for responding. xx

Sick leave I understand follows the rule of ten working days and you need a sick note, sadly I do not know how this is worked out for a part time worker.

The DWP may be able to help on this occasion, that is all I can suggest. I suppose you could possibly have words with CAB, they MAY be able to help

GoodLuck

Great thanks Bob xx

Whether you need a sick note denotes your working week, for you it would be the weekend as that is all you do and would constitute your working week. I would double check with your manager.

I think the only answer is to check with your boss.

You can self certify sickness for upto 7 days absence. The days count even if they are your days off unless you report fit to take days off. so if u reported not well on the Saturday and have not advised your employer any different then you will need to provide a med 3 form or sick note from the following Saturday.

Hope you feel better soon.

You only need to self certify after 7 days of Absence. You Doctor can also add additional information. If can advise that you need reduced hours or adjusted hours.

They are called fit notes now.

Kind regards

You need one after 7 days even if they are days you don't normally work so if you were of last Saturday and can't work this Saturday you will need a fit note

Hope you soon feel better
