Well we all have recived a letter from our COO and all being asked to sign a new contract change statement, as they will need to furlonging us but doing this means we get the 80% of pay based on the Givernment guidelines.

Lots of emails and calls from my team tonight but I was expecting it..

The only time I've ever heard the word "furlough" is in relation to military soldiers, sailors, airmen. In WW1 soldiers would be granted 10 days furlough to come home and see family etc. Never heard it used anywhere else, except now by the Government.

I’ve furloughed half of my team now too. We are like a family and there have been an awful lot of tears. Two of them are setting up virtual games afternoons and have got some of our clients and their families involved too. I am so proud of them I could burst 🥰🥰

That must have been hard for you. But at least it will help the longevity of your business. Hard times but sounds like you are making the best of it. All the best. 🌈

It is hard but I think many see it as best option than being layed off but hard not seeing your regular day to day gang.

Isn’t it! Lots of video chats though. One of my team has organised a virtual games evening. She’s even got some of our clients involved and their families. Fun!
