I think the HR Director was a bit shocked speaking to me on Wed and think maybe understanding RA a bit more and the long process it can be to find the right meds and side effects and of course time might have hit home.
Not that I can string much of a sentence together at the moment vocally.
But got these beautiful sunflowers today from the centre. Do love them.
They are gorgeous Dee and look pretty majestic to me. You must be relieved that your HR Director seems to understand more about the RA, it really helps. x
How lovely. Bet it did you the world of good knowing people care and are willing to understand. Sunflowers!!! I love them
It's really important to spend the time explaining to people what a difficult and challenging disease it is to treat and how you are likely to have times when you are much more limited in what you can do, but that it varies enormously from week to week (and sometimes from day to day!)
Well done for getting your HR person to listen! So often they think they know everything already and just say things like 'yes, yes' and 'well, when will you be back?' when you have just explained that you don't know....
I was and am struggling to string a sentence together on Sulfs and she could hear me struggling to say words. But also I said to her if this time last year you had asked me would I be where I am now- the answer would be so so wrong. Even she went this is s&&t Dee.
Lovely, lovely flowers. Often bosses and colleagues and family and friends too don’t always get how RA affects us. Once meds have started to work and mobility increases and pain decreases (it will all happen!) I know you will get back on track. X
I really love sunflowers too - had some one year that grew up to the bedroom windows! I had to tie two canes together to support it and even then it grew on a couple of feet higher!
