I hope you soon recover and that it isn't the virus. If you have the symptoms and continuous cough contact your GP early, don't wait until it's really bad.

Hi, I would say you are in high risk category. Go to NRAS web site and follow link to NHS you will find a list of at risk categories. Main thing is not to panic.Im on MTX and Rituximab infusions so classed as high risk on NHS website. Stay safe.

According to the new information available, its steroids, biologics and small molecule drugs such as JAK inhibitors that make us high risk. So if you are on steroids, that puts inone of the higher risk groups, it will also depend on the dosage of your drug ?

But, you should stay home and clarify your situation with your rheumatologist on Friday.

Thank you , I'm on 10 mg steroid only been on them 2 weeks, had an injection prior to that

I think 10 mgs puts you in a higher risk category. Dont worry, I am too. It just means we need to self isolate for now, but many of us do. Take care and let us know how Friday goes ?

🤞🏻you don’t have the virus and get better soon. This came out yesterday, I hope it helps.

According to that (link in post above) you are not at high risk, but if you are already unwell I think you should err on the cautious side and stay at home.

Again its still not 100 percent clear as all it says about steroids is 10 mg a day for 4 weeks , does that include injections ? Does that mean if you are on steroids its ok? There's so many different links and different advice , I'm hopeing my rheumo nurse gets back to me today im trying to get pain meds my docters think paracetomal is enuff for rheumo pain

Oh absolutely you need to get advice from your own doctors!

And yes it is a nightmare at the moment with different bits of advice and things changing daily. But the critical thing to me is not to panic, but be calmly sensible about minimising your risk. So with an existing fever then you should stay put.

(They hydroxy does not seem to raise your risk, and the chart states that people who have taken steroids for over 4 weeks are at high risk, but doesn’t say anything about shorter timescales...)

Definitely talk to your doctors /nurses if you’re unclear, the chart won’t be clear for everyone. Your doctors will have your records so are best to advise you.

I think I am but never not sure until I receive the letter , for me it’s not if I’m high risk or not it’s so I can show the letter to my employer to just prove I am .
