Benepali, itchy rash on my neck (allergic reaction?). Anyone else?

My Benepali story. Following 2nd injection I caught a virus (I think?) nasty sinus headache - chills- rash on torso, as that cleared I got a rash on my neck that was hot and itchy. No Benepali for 2 weeks. The I took another injection on Saturday, my neck, in exactly the same place is itchy and red, I have taken antihistamine.

If this is the only problem with it - do I carry on taking it?

I am concerned because I have had problems with just about every med so far!

A virus generally doesn’t mean a rash. You’ve got a rash twice so I would be inclined to think a reaction. I think it’s best you contact your clinic keep taking the antihistamines as a precaution until you get clarification.im like you drugs don’t like me 🥺

Yup check with doc as sounds like a reaction. I got terrible sinus issues with benepali but no rashes.

It would be best to report this immediAtely to RA helpline if you have one. I hope the antihistamine helps meantime.

Yes I did, I am not to take anymore. Another one bites the dust.

It’s sickening when that happens. I hope the next one will suit you and work well. Any idea yet what it might be?

It’s disappointing indeed.

Not yet, just a different strand of Biologics.

I’m luck though, my RA is not too bad...

My first biologic simply did not work. On second now ie infusions. Prednisolone to bridge the gap... had a very nasty several months of uncontrolled disease!

Good that yours is not too bad right now. :-)

I had my first benepali injection yesterday and I developed a rash over my cheeks and nose ... I'm going to try it again next week (as I was eating a lot of new foods on the same day) but I found it went down after 2-3 hours and I didn't take antihistamines. It does say side effects can include rashes, best to speak to your RA nurse x
