I keep getting a rash/red blotchy type mark on the tops of my arms and on my back and tops of legs. I went to gp who said to mention it when i see consultant.

Ive tried taking pics to show her but they dont come out very well.

It seems to follow a time where I need a lot of sleep, anyone else?

Hi Lukeymum. Are you by any chance on one of the Anti TNF drugs? I was on Humira and kept coming out in a red blotchy rash on my legs. Showed my RA Consultant and he took me off the Humira and put me onto Enbrel.

Agree with Summer, you need to check the meds you are on. LavendarLady

Like the others have said, in order to give a more detailed answer it would be helpful to now what drugs for the RA you are taking.

Lots of the medications can cause a rash particularly sulphsalazine and Methotrexate, and also some of the newer biologics.

You can always ring your rheumy nurse and ask for their advice as any side effects like this should always be reported.

Good luck

Hi all & thanks for replies

I am on mtx but have been for a while, I didnt take meds last week though as thought had infection.

Think Ill mention it to nurse as it is coming & going more often than not now.

Locum gp diagnosed shingles the first time it appeared but has been confirmed that it wasnt shingles.
