I was diagnosed with phoritic RA ( as well as all the other arthritis ) put on a high dose of mexitrate by injection . Anyhow, broke out in a horrible rash on my hands and arms. Went to the chemist, they said heat rash and flogged me antihistamines. Rash continued to be really painful and incredibly itchy! Saw a nurse , she said shingles........ finally got an appointment with practice nurse. She didn't know BUT called a doctor to have a look.....she called another Dr...three doctors later.. Guttate Phoriasis ..triggered by the chicken pox virus. So not only do you have to watch out for pox and shingles but this as well!

Mcdebz, oh this sounds itchy, I do hope you get some relief from it soon. Have you been prescribed anything to help ?

Devonex. It's drying it out , still itchy and painful. The plus side is nobody will sit next to me on the bus 😁

I don't understand it being triggered by chicken pox virus? If it's psoriasis so surely it can be triggered by all sorts of things including Methotrexate?

But however it occurred I hope it is fading fast!

I thought that to but Doc said it is triggered by Chickenpox virus. I've had Chickenpox and Shingles , 4 times.

I have noticed my skin is burning and itching the last few weeks. I have an appointment with practice nurse today for annual asthma review. I'm going to mention it to her.

I'm not sure if it's the sun told to have 30 minutes sun a day to keep Vitamin D levels up.

It can be very irritating as it disturbs my sleep.
