Broken tooth.

Anyone else with psoriatic arthritis had problems with their teeth. Mine seems to be deteriorated since I’ve had PSA such a needing fillings and teeth breaking etc.

I've had RD for 3 years and the last 2 years my teeth are deteriorating at, what I think, a very quick rate. Dentist said they have seen it happen to some people with RD. Don't know if that info is of any use to you. I wish you well.

I have RA servo positive I’m on biological an in the last couple of years my teeth have just started to fall apart too. Before this I hadn’t had a filling in thirty years

Mine too! However, I was a smoker and my dentist was adamant it was this and only this. I have stopped smoking so will see what the future brings but I do feel that my teeth seemed to deteriorate rapidly since diagnosis.

I have RA and haven’t had any problems but I seem to recall there was a post recently about this happening.

I also have problems with my teeth deteriorating and I also have PsA. I used to always have good teeth. I now have a partial denture at the top and I recently had some root canal work done.

Mine have deteriorated. So much so, I have 7 dental appointments to look forward to with removals and implants etc... Joy!

I wish I could afford implants! I have a double gap at the back one side (can't see it) my dentist offered to make a small denture for the gap but I just can't face that! 😱

Things have improved hugely in dentistry. It may be fine 😀. Could try and then if you don’t like it, not bother?

There is an apparent link between poor teeth/gums and illness. May I suggest you investigate applying Alliderm, using cotton buds, to your gums twice a day. May help.

Yes ... Very curious. Had fantastic teeth, rarely any cavities. Boom !! ... teeth losing enamel with simultaneous Psoriatic diagnosis. We are still looking for core disease.

Please ... let's find answers and share. I see Rheumatologist in 2 days for 2nd visit. Methotrexate and Lefluonomide caused major diarrhea ... now going on 6 weeks.

Hi, I have seropositive RA, just coming up to a year since diagnosed. I have 6 monthly dental checks and 6 monthly dental hygienist but I feel my teeth are deteriorating 😕 a bit of tooth broke off last week, have to have it re filled in January and tonight a bit of enamel broke off another tooth 😒 I've not had many teeth problems previously (I'm 59).

Feel like I'm falling apart ☹️
