Hello everyone,

Has anybody heard or used Seabuckthorn Oil. I was watching Country File and they were saying how it helps to reduce inflammation, used in tablet form, but also is good as a facial oil. I thought I might get some facial oil and see if it helps with the lines o my face lol. Just woundered if anybody had heard of it or used it.

I'm having a relaxing slow Sunday, hope you all enjoy your Sundsy.

I have heard of it but not used it. I believe it is quite difficult to get. I have used many other anti inflammatory products no luck🥺

Hello J1707

Thanks for replying, I think I'll look into it abit more before I decide on buying the oil. It's a shame that there's not something it could work alongside the medication.

I'll keep looking.

Seen it on an old Ray Mears programme and on the botantist who makes his own medications. Its mainly found in Russia and used a lot there, Not tried it so no idea if it works. Sorry.x

Yes. I saw a herbalist some years ago, and he advised me to take it... I did but I am not sure it had any significant results.

For inflammation my pharmacist recommended omega 3 (high dose) and vit d. I added lots of green and white tea which also helps with hydration. 🙂

I have been taking it for the past 2 years in capsule form for my Sjögren's and I find it does help with dry eyes. I was advised by my ophthalmologist to use it as he has seen benefits in people who have RA and Sjögren's syndrome. You have to give it a few weeks before you see the benefit and take it regularly.

I can't find much evidence on this. There's a summary of what's available so far on webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingre...
