Kefir and CBD oil

Hi, just wondering if anybody has tried kefir and/or CBD oil. I've just started the kefir (19 days ago) and have now been told it may not be good for people with inflammatory diseases. I've been on and off the CBD oil over the last year or so. I take the green oil. However, I haven't really noticed any improvements through its use. Anybody else tried it and felt benefits? Thanks

I did the CBD oil and found no difference at all, I tried the kefir and didn't really like the taste so tried probiotic capsules instead, only to find they gave me dirohea so stopped both. 🤗 X

Yes probiotics are not altogether a good thing to supplement.

Hello Glyn612,

There are so many things out there that are supposed to be so good for our health. It is really quite confusing. I have tried to find facts around these products and foods that are recommended before I make a move. This is after just following the flow and doing many mistakes. Fermented foods was one of my mistakes. Fermented foods like kefir have lactic acid that is something that especially people with AI inflammatory conditions should keep away from. Lactic acid is one of the culprits in an inflammatory condition.:( I used to eat kefir, thought it was good for me, ignored for a long time the signs that were telling me the opposite. I can only encourage you to listen to your body and perhaps read up upon lactic acid and inflammation. Good luck. Simba

Thanks. I was actually told it was good for RA! It makes sense what you've said. My partner is feeling great taking kefir but I'm not. So maybe that's it.

I tried cbd oil but felt very nauseous and headache, it made no difference to my joints or wellbeing.

My husband who has copd and I started cbd oil about a month ago as he found no difference after 2 weeks stopped taking it, however I THINK I feel less anxious and definately have less headaches. No difference to pain or tiredness tho. Good luck.

I had better sleep with cbd oil so it was worth taking for that reason.

Hi Glyn I make my own kefir and find it settles my stomach with all the drugs I take. I only have it on my oat based breakfast along with berries. I started with the green CBD oil the latter part of last year in the hope of relief from back pain, I was hoping to avoid Gabapentin, however it didn't work for pain relief, I sometimes feels it improves my mood and relaxes me on a bad pain day. I think we are all different, what works for one doesn't work for another. X

Thanks I agree CBD doesn't really seem to work for pain, but may have other benefits. I'm going to continue with the kefir to see where I go with it. It'll be an interesting experience if nothing else.

I take probiotics and also a tumeric-lime ginger concocton. I have found the TLG very helpful and would be happy to share the recipe

That would be very kind of you; thanks. I'm also looking into fermenting vegetables and am going to try to make sauerkraut for the first time in my life. Apparently, in Korea they have a teaspoon every day and live into their 90s. Here's hoping!

Im suspect about CBD oil, I reckon its the latest con trick. Everybody sells it, even for vaping in E-Cigs. Very suspicious.

I think for the anti-inflammatory effect you have to have the CBD oil with THC. That’s what I’ve discovered anyway. I understand it’s not legal in the UK, though.
