Stuck eye lids

Hello

Just before Christmas I had an infusion of Zoledronic Acid, which most of you will know. I felt unwell for about two days which was not unexpected.

Then developed an eye infection, eye clinic said possible Uveitis given antibiotics which did the job. Have to be ultra clean with eyes now

For the last three months or so I am now finding it difficult to open my eyes in the morning, no pain. It is very unpleasant.

I'm due for another infusion December so I am a bit worried.

I'm not sure if it's the RA that's causeing this or the PN. However due to see the Neuro doc this week and next month RA doc.

I would be grateful for ideas on this.

I wish you all a good day x

It seems unlikely that it's connected. Problems with the eyes - dryness especially but also blepharitis/uveitis etc - are common with auto-immune conditions.

Hi

Yes I know that eyes can be affected but I had never had a problem with my eyes. I ignored it at first but now relalise I will have to seek medical help for it. Thanks have a good day.

Try bathing your eyes in warm water with a little bicarbonate in (recommended by my ophthalmologist). I add a drop of tea tree oil to mine which keeps my eye lids clean.

Hi

Thanks for the tip I will bear that in mind.

It's so awful trying to open eyes first thing when you wake.

Never experienced this before!

Have a good day.
