Been having this problem for a few years now, by any chance does anyone have the same problem or can tell me what it is or how to get rid of it I’ve tried every cream and also toners and different face washes always natural and no chemicals but always so sore and scabby?! Driving me insane but don’t want to go doctors over something so little?!?...

It looks rather red. Maybe your local pharmacy might suggest something? I find pure organic coconut oil does a great job on any dry or sore skin around my nose or behind my ears. But probably best to get medical advice if yours is persistent.

Hiya Tiakerridge24. That looks sore. Have you checked to see if there's a listing of dermatological side effects/problems on any of your meds? If there is check with your Rheumy or nurse. If not I'd pop in & see your local Pharmacist, preferably the one who dispenses your meds. They are qualified to recommend what's necessary & if it's not an otc product suggest you ask your GP to prescribe it for you, that is unless you prefer to see your GP.

I wouldn't recommend anything as we're not medically qualified here & could risk angering it further if you try something we suggest.

I hope it clears soon with whatever is recommended/prescribed. Make sure though that it's unlikely to interact with your RD meds.

Considering how long you have had it, I would seek medical advice.

Could it be herpes simple 2? See the little pustules? It can be treated easily with medication.

Dermatitis? I'm just getting mine to clear up. This started for me when I was on MTX and started Remicade infusions. Was also using a sunscreen that I didn't realize had expired and was in the sun a little.( I burn easy and have had skin cancer) Changed my meds and it started to clear up but, didn't go away! Got new sunscreen, helped a little. Got break-out free Neutrogena clear face sunscreen and it's finally clearing up!

I've had problems with dermatitis before, that's how I knew what it was. (Went to dermatologist for it before) For me, I think, the combination of the meds and the sunscreen may have triggered it.

Dermatitis is like little pimples and really dry skin and just won't go away!! SUCKS!! Itchy sometimes and sore! This time when I got it, it started around my nose and was very sore and raw feeling.

Talk to your doc about it, your meds MIGHT have triggered it? Or something your using on your face? Being in the sun? Or combination?

Would love to know if you get it figured out, keep us posted! Sorry so long winded!!

Pure organic Aloe vera gel is very good for the skin. 100ml tube is 99p . I have a rash on the back of my neck. I think due to mtx. Aloe vera gel keeps it under control.
