I've only noticed a couple of days ago that my top part of the index fingers (particularly the left one) has twisted inwards towards the middle finger!! I swear I've never had that before. My fingers used to just be straight. I wonder if this is a symptom of arthritis or just the way we use our fingers to type at work etc? I do type every day as I work at an office.

Hi Regina
I get this as my hands a key part of my illness as Doc put it 'you have worked standing up and with hands a lot of your life hence this area being a weaker area' sounds about right for me. SO both index turning in.
I think you will probably find it is likely to be osteo arthritis.... my fingers started dong that...got to a certain angle & there they stay...only ache a bit, so I don’t worry about them.
Show them to your rheumy next time you have a check up.
My left index finger is moving to the left, the knuckle is hot and swollen so I assume they are connected (RD wise, I know they are connected to each other ....lol 🤣)
