Fed up of the RA in my fingers.............

Morning all,well i see rheumy this lunchtime and he will get it in both barrels if he doesn't do something as i am in a lot of pain in my fingers and it hurts to type this post. Add to that my back and knee you can see i am struggling at the moment.xxxxxx

Lovely pic , I'm just on my steroids which work a treat on first week of 20 mg then start reducing just get life bk on track and it will all start again pain pain and more pain don't think I will ever get bk on my Rumie meds, if I keep getting cancelled apps for my tooth July now !!!!!!!

I won't take steroids long term as i put so much weight on resulting in weight loss surgery and since have lost 5 stone in weight.xxxx

I know I look like a hamster plus a few extra hairs on chin runny nose ,well done with weight loss I've lost weight since being diagnosed but it's up an down anyway might go in garden if it stops raining later

Hi Sylvi, when fingers are like that it makes us so dependent! Hope you are getting assistance at home, and something can be done to bring relief at review. I got nothing for my hands as it was OA.

Treatment seems to vary from health board to health board.

Awe Sylvi sorry your hurting at the moment, I've had a steroid injection last week so fingers are fine at the moment but once it wares off that's what get sore first, hope you get something to help you xxx

Increasing the dosage of mtx at the moment and then it depends on how i am on that higher dose.xxxx

He injected my index fingers with steroids,not sure yet if it helped.xxx
