Been on 10 mg of methotrexate a week for six months but missed last week due to virus. Now have incredibly painful wrist. My doctor said I was Early Diagnosis and that his target for treatment was to suppress symptoms completely... which had worked until this week. Is it all going to go pearshsped now?

It would be very unusual for one missed dose to cause such pain. You might have started a flare which could happen at any time regardless of you missing a dose. But 10mg is quite a low dose, perhaps you need an increase in your dose. Could you ring your Rheumy nurse and ask for advice?
I echo what poemsgalore replied. Plus I’ve never noticed any difference if I miss a dose of mtx. Hope you get sorted soon.
I missed my dose last week because I had a cold. Yes I had pain/inflammation in my hands and knees. Took my methotrexate this morning and already pain/inflammation is subsiding.
So glad because now I can get back to my knitting, xstitch, gardening and the other 101 things that I want to do.
I have to miss 2 doses before things change for me, I am on 20mg MTX. My first symptom is stiffness not pain. I had to miss 2 doses last year due to a really nasty chesty bug which was tipping into chest infection. However consultant agreed that it was right to miss 2 doses and thankfully I avoided the chest infection.
10mg may be considered by most to be a rather low dose. However I know of someone where 22 years at 7.5mg MTX kept her RA at bay.
