I take my methotrexate injection on a wedneday.i also take 3 sulsalasizine twice daily and at the moment 7.5mg of prednisalone in the morning.by the beginning of the wk I generally feel more fatigued.this week gp phoned and told me not to take my methotrexate as blood count had came back low and she wanted to re-do test next wk,so I never took it last night and today my feet and wrists have been really sore and ive been more tired than normal.im just wondering if this is just a coincidence as it’s only one injection missed,or is it possible that the low blood count has anything to do with the pain.

Missed methotrexate
I would be inclined to think it’s a coincidence. Missing one dose wouldn’t cause too much trouble as you’ve already got some in your system and you wouldn’t feel the effects of a missed dose quite so soon
Did kind of think this myself.could be the low blood count that has something to do with it as when I am anemic I get achey and tired too.
Sometimes blood test have been miss handled and the test are inaccurate. This has happened to me
Missing one dose of MTX wheter it's in tablet form or injection wouldn't make one jot of difference. As for the low blood count being related to your pain, I'm not sure, but I dobt it. Maybe you could ring the NRAS eephone Helpline: 0800 298 7650. Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm
I am sorry but I don’t know never had low blood count so didn’t have to stop taking. My phariatic arthritis’s went in to remission so am not taking the methotrexate anymore. Just taking Tylenol Arthritis. And it seems to be working great! Hope everything works out for you.
