I have degenerating carpal bones caused by a bad fall 3 years ago. I am developing arthritis in my wrist which isn't too bad at the moment. Ultimately though, I may have to consider a total wrist fusion, and I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with this procedure?

Wrist fushion
Sorry to hear about your wrist. I havent had surgical fision but both of my wrists have fused with RA. Fortunately theyre in a good position! Theyve been like this since i was in my 20's. Cant say its ever been a great problem. Hope that helps, all the best for the future. PS any questions, just ask!
Hi,
I’ve had a total wrist fusion due to erosion. It worked really well for me as my wrist had nearly fused naturally anyway but the pain was still awful. After the fusion the pain pretty much disappeared
Hi'I have RA and had my right wrist fused many years ago and I barley notice that is fused anymore. I had no choice but to fused and it was the best option for me. I think it was so much easier than I thought it would. My workouts are somewhat restricted because the wrist doesn't bend anymore but I have found alternative exercises.
Hope this helps!
Thanks very much for your feedback Raymik, that's very helpful. So you don't get any pain anymore?
