I'm totally confused now. Had a swelling and pain at the side of my foot. Xray showed erosions so blood tests were ordered. Anti ccp came back as 111.ou/no. What Does This mean ? Is it positive.

Hello, Why are you confused? Have you been diagnosed with RA? Your CCP is in fact high and the x- ray showing erosion would point to RA. How have you otherwise been feeling?
Not diagnosed with RA. I was diagnosed with fibro 2012 so take the usual meds for this. Feel like crap most of the time and constantly in pain. However, the issue with my foot was a different type of pain, appeared swollen and red. Hence the x-ray then the bloods. Gp has spoken to me about some of the results which showed signs of anaemia, inflammation and high colestral. However the CCP results where not back. Asked the receptionists couple of days ago if the results were back for CCP . She said the GP had not had chance to comment on them but wrote the results on a post it note for me. Have not got a clue what they mean. But will make an appt for GP. Thanks for taking time to answer.
Anti-CCP is an antibody test, and if you have them then it is 97% likely that you have RA. The usual measure is in U/ml, when anything above 20 is considered to be positive. If your results are measured against a different scale of ou/no then 111 may not be positive? But could just have been predictive text changing what you wrote?
welcome took me months of once a week to hospital before I got diagnosed plus was 3rd foot doctor that does me right - NEVER GIVE UP ! ask ask ask !
