Hi yes I did on both shins and also later in my scalp. I suffered for a couple of years, it was really itchy and tried lots of creams etc. If it gets too bad your consultant can refer you to a dermatologist. Sarah xxx

Hi, did the dry legs clear up when the cimzia stopped? cos I feel after almost 12 weeks on cimzia its not making a lot of difference to my RA.

Hi I was actually on Cimzia for 5 years and it worked really well for me and I’m still trying to match it. Unfortunately I developed drug induced Lupus and severe hives so had to stop as I couldn’t tolerate it any more. In answer to your question, yes the dry skin and scalp problems cleared up once I stopped it but I always felt that they were worth putting up with as it worked so well. Sarah xxx

Thanks Sarah, that's great information!... rhum nurse said it can take 12 weeks before it kicks in so I'll persevere till then. Xxx

I have dry patches and generally dry skin on my shins. I use shia butter and that prevents any itching. Worth a try? Good luck.

I have been on Cimzia for over two years now. The only effect it has on me is some belly fat. It has done wonders for my hands . I still experience some joint pains, but nothing severe. I eat mostly organic and juice a lot. I use tumeric , ginger and make natural things for arthritis. The computer is my greatest asset for looking up remedies for arthritis. I exercise mostly 5 days a week which I can do because I am retired. I had juvenile arthritis but it did not affect me until I was in my 70's, but I have always exercised all my life.
