Did you cut a little hole in the Tubigrip to push your thumb through? That keeps it in place.....if it's not too tight double it over.
Have you tried a neoprene support.......I found anything that keeps the area warm helps....some people find ice helps,,.....but I find that makes the area hurt more.
I got mine in Poundland, but if you look for Neoprene joint supports on Amazon you'll see what I mean.
Hope it might help.
I find hand pain comes & goes more than in the larger joints & keeping the area warm definitely helps me.....microwave heated gloves are clumsy, but they do ease the stinging pain.
Hi I’m afraid you can get pain anywhere, I suffer from painful hands and find fingerless gloves help with pain helping to keep joints warm, also sometimes I wear compression fingerless gloves also but not all the time because like a splint if you wear it all the time the joints/ muscles then become weak.
They were a nuisance for me too but had some respite from the problem until this happed . It's made me such a grump 😟xxx

So sorry you’ve got that. Hand pain kept me awake all night when I first went down with this & even tramadol didn’t touch it, like someone smacking yr hands with a hammer; spent all night running hands under cold water. I don’t know what meds you’re on but can they give you steroid shot to help? x

Thank you xxxxx it’s a problem holding anything . Honestly I’ve never felt this before it’s making me so miserable 😖 xx
That’s the only spot mine hurts, other than my knuckles. Doc gave me splint support but it’s only good for when I’m needing to do stuff with it. Still hurts all the time tho. Along the thumb line too.
My hands, wrists and palms are so very painful too. I use a hot water bottle constantly at home when I’m not using my hands, I never leave the house without my insulated leather gloves that have fur coming up over the wrists I always wear double gloves if I’m doing bits in the garden. Keeping them a constant temperature dose ease the pain but nothing clears it. I just have to accept that I will always have a level of pain in my hands 24/7. Sorry not to be more positive. You are not alone in this. Sending you love from a fellow sufferer. Xxxxx
I've had terrible hand problems and after 9 months and a gentle reminder to the rheumatology nurse that I still had not seen anyone and I'm onto second lot of steroid injections in both hands . I saw lovely physio , bless he listened to me moan on ,but I've found mu wrists especially the right one is now so painful the pain is referring up my arm so both elbows hurt and I know I will have to have steroid shot in those but the pain is in my clavicle and only on the right side it's effecting under my armpit and rib cage . Now I know this is a problem for all of us pain but he is trying a paraffin wax Bath to try to get on top of pain before they do anything else . He also told me to try and get my appointment with rheumatology consultant brought forward . I'm back on Wednesday I have to say Tuesday night I actually slept for 5 hours and the left hand and arm are not quite as sore . Right ones rotten again but I've looked at the price of these baths and if it works I'll buy one . I'll keep you all in the loop. Have a fabulous weekend as painless and comfortable as possible 💐
Oh that’s not good . Sometimes I don’t think they realise the pain is so bad especially as the pain is on a strange area -my palm . I’m going to get to see the doctor on Monday xxxxx
