I have electric shock type feeling when first putting my feet on the floor when getting out of bed. I find wiggling my feet before weight bearing helps
Yes, and one day I'll ask the rheumy team what the heck is going on. It mostly in my hands shooting from the wrists to top of little fingers, from the ankles to little toes and sometimes it the knees and ribs. If you find out first would you let us know please?

I get it mainly after I been sitting a while and on getting up in the morning.
I have chindrocalcinosis in my feet and have assumed it was part of that condition. Bloomin sore though !
I think my 'electric shock' pain is connected to nerve pressure. I particularly get it in my feet when I have sciatica too, but I can get it in my hands as well - possibly carpal tunnel?
Can't say I do but my toes often feel like nettle rash as it's going off. Have reported it to the Doc but didn't really have an answer.
Yes !! sharp stabbing pains... I always likened it to Terry Pratchett's 'wee free men' attacking my ankles with their wee swords. Still happens but try to ignore it as best i can
