Hello Everyone,
Five weeks ago I started on Metoject which is going ok.
I'm going aboard soon and have to take one with me any ideas on how to take them? And any ideas on how you bring a used one back. I just wondered how others do this.

You take a letter with you either from doctor or whoever delivers your injections. Then keep it, in it's box,in your hand luggage. It can go through the scanners just fine alongside your liquids.
If you are going anyway very, very hot take a small cool pack with you to keep it under 25 degrees. And if you are going anywhere very exotic check that methotrexate is allowed. Some countries can be funny about different drugs.
Then I just put the used one in its box and bring it home.
Enjoy your holiday.
I often go away, but generally within Europe. I take the repeat prescription and stick it in my hand luggage. Not been stopped once. Have a lovely time.
Hi Micky I go abroad a lot I just take them in my cabin luggage and when I use them just put them back into the box to bring home and dispose in your sharps box when home, I did buy a travel sharps
box but found it to bulky in my suitcase, also get a letter from hospital or GP stating what medication you are on just in case they ask but I have never been asked saying that I am off to visit my son in Singapore in 2 weeks I bet I am asked for it now X
There are lots of previous posts on this as it's a common problem. If you put 'travel' and 'methotrexate' in the search box, you should find lots of advice.
Just put into hand luggage with a covering letter and prescription and as said put used one back in box and this I then put in hold luggage. I'll be doing this as off to Italy in couple of weeks.
Have a lovely holiday x
When I asked Rheumatology Dept for a letter they said they no longer provide one and I should take my copy of the letter they send to my GP after every appointment.
