Just curious...do you pay for it big time when you do more than usual?

I felt somewhat better today, and so walked my puppy more, did some tidying up, made a nice dinner.... and now I’m a mess of pain. Cast and all. Sux.

Ohhhhhhhh yes it's a hard lesson to learn very but it feeels soooooooo good when you do it, I get so fed up of being told don't do that don't do this yes I suffer when I do but it works both ways at least some days I know why 🤣

Yes I think it's a common thing with us but we feel better doing that wee bit more and always pay afterwards

Yes, yes, yes! I never seem to learn that when I feel a bit better I can't rush round doing things! Then I have to spend the next two days recovering.

I really do try - I don't agree to do more than two things a day, preferably one, but it's all the other little jobs that pile up - like cleaning the windows or (today) changing beds after visitors have left. And then I'm totally wasted... and I KNOW it's going to happen but I still do it.

Absolutely! My younger daughter and her gorgeous children visited yesterday and today I just want to sleep. It was so worth it

Definitely, when I feel good I try to catch up with little jobs that have been left, I know I should only do a couple of things but press on, it's a good feeling completing them but yes we do suffer afterwards. x

Yep, that’s the cycle. Rest up, take it easy and look forward to another fab day of feeling more energetic.

Definitely. Worth it though. Lovely day out, with tidying House beforehand. Brick wall today. All about the payoffs for me 😉

Yes me too, always pay for doing a lot more. My RA nurse always tells me to pace myself, if I don’t I pay for it with pain and extreme tiredness, I am still self employed running my own Antique shop.

I am coming g back as a dog

What a lovely dog: they look so content. Yes, same as everyone, find it difficult pacing. Trouble is tiredness doesn’t hit you at the time (because then you’d stop lol) it’s a day or two later. I keep doing same expecting a different outcome: maybe it’s vestiges of your old self or not wanting to look too precious about yourself; we look pretty normal on outside until it all goes pear shaped that is 😀 It’s v difficult to get it just right x

Yes that's common, I rush around like super woman when feeling great then bang hit the exhaustion brick wall the next day and out of action for days. Think having RA for over 20yrs I would have learnt but still feel guilty seeing hubby lots around the house so have yo take over sometimes. At mo resting up after trip to town with grandsons to help with back to school uniforms. Lots of walking and moans of can we go home now Nanny 🙄

Just rest up and try to pace your days think I'd better take my own advice 🤔

Precious pooch! He looks so cute cuddled up on his pillow.

I agree, definitely pay for it later. What has discouraged me so much is simply showering and dressing can take it out of you. I used to shower the day before going to the doctor or out of the house for any reason. I'd do a little bird bath that morning to freshen up a bit, though.

Are you on meds that seem to be helping yet? For the first 3 years I hadn't gotten any relief from all the meds my rheumy had me on. For awhile, I thought that all the pain and fatigue was just my new normal. Finally, my Dr and insurance approved Humira injections for me and I am much improved...not fixed, or perfect, but much better.

I hope things improve for you, dear. xxxooo
