Beautiful. We have the stargazers and their perfume is wonderful. They even survived the thunderstorm this morning.

Beautiful the smell is lovely.

Mine came out early this year and have fallen already, they were bright orange I don’t remember planting them as I thought they should have all been white, the squirrels ate the rest of them, I have 5 left out of 12 better than nothing. Enjoy them while their out.

Thought this was a site for arthritis topics not flowers. Just saying as I'm confused by this post. Am I missing something?

Off topic posts are mood lifting don't you think? Takes our mind off all RD throws at us. I, among others, have started non-disease related posts, they're always popular though we haven't had one for a while so maybe being relatively new here you've not happened across one. Must put my thinking cap on & start a new one.

Yes thankyou it just nice to think out of mind for a while with RA and a little distraction does help it's been very popular so don't think any harm done , I love to hear what other members are up to that is why it's such a lovely friendly site to be involved with.

Exactly. No harm at all! Actually I responded to Hidden 's post. I saw that first not realising hers was responding to yours! I love lilies too, the scent is beautiful, especially Stargazer... a pic of mine in my garden is on my profile page.

No harm done however I wouldn't think to look in this group for uplifting topics. Only really interested in facts and news about my condition. Get my mood lifters elsewhere but as they say different strokes.........

P.S. your lilies are very pretty though I will be scrolling on if I see these kind of "uplifting topics". Didn't join this group to read things on people's flowers or any other hobbies but to educate myself on this awful disease.

Ones state of mind has a great influence on how to deal with RA.

Curling up under the duvet with Dr Google & suffering doesn't usually help much....uplifting topics often do!

Smiling at beautiful flowers, cute kids & animals release hormones that help pain.......so don't please don't knock those of us who enjoy the diversion.

I dare say all of us are primarily here to educate ourselves that's what the community was set up for, that & to support, but as the OP Nsmith13 said above a little distraction helps when dealing with RD, PsA etc & I'm pleased it's done just that for her & the other members who replied. It's fine too if only arthritis topics interest you... nevertheless as you get to know us you're equally welcome to join in if an off topic post happens to appeal (maybe not my latest one as it's also flower-related!). Again as the OP says we are a friendly site, no need to feel confused or leave a pithy reply if the topic of a post isn't what you'd expect to see on our community.

How about World Peace NMH...that should take our minds off our aches & pains?

I didn't knock u at all. If that is how u like to make yourself feel better then that is up to u. All I was saying was I use health unlocked to educate myself on my disease. If I want to be uplifted I do it a different way. Oh just so u know I'm well aware of what topics make me feel good and I prefer to spend my time with real dogs, children and adults not online. As I said I use this for education not upliftment. Hope u get my point.

Hi Cheylann , The title of this post is called Lush Lily's. In my opinion it's pretty obvious what the topic is about. If flowers aren't your thing then you have the choice not to read. If you go onto your profile you will find a search box whereby you can look up on HealthUnlocked information/facts about your condition and to educate yourself. HealthUnlocked covers a broad spectrum of subjects/topics and we each have a choice on wether to read and/or comment. It's respectful to respect others who enjoy talking about flowers or whatever. As you prefer to spend your time with real dogs, real people etc to feel good, some prefer sharing their beautiful flowers to feel good. Some people may be alone alot of the time and that may be doubly hard with an Autoimmune Disease too! We all feel the pressure and pain of our conditions and a bit escapism is good. I love flowers, dogs and people. They are a sweet colourful bunch on here who will spring to support each other if they get the scent of negativity. We are all bloomin in the same vases for flowers sake!

Hope you like a wee laugh!

Take care

Suzie x
