I tried to reply yesterday....but it disappeared into the ether....I couldn't even click on 'like' !
So pleased your RTX transfusion went well.
I used to take in little nibbles, but I find I sleep so much I'm not hungry so mostly I just drink squash & maybe eat an apple & like you have something tasty waiting when I get home.
Let's hope you are now all set & Rtx works ....fingers firmly crossed !
You can cross your fingers? WOW!! Weds and still woozy - can't work out why they gave me pred [which really gives me a buzz... hi scores on uni challenge etc] with tranquilliser - surely that's the equivalent of an oxymoron??. It is the jolliest hospital i've been in despite [or maybe because of] specialising in RA, brain injury, ortho etc. A load of Pollyannas which suits me... not intrusive but there 4u. back to swims 2moro i hope tho was given dire warnings re fractured T12 so no more picking stuff up or bending from waist. .. which is why they gave me a grabber , doesn't need thumbs to operate it either LOL. Thx 4your ongoing input xox
Are u sure it was Pred & a tranquilliser they gave you?
...I get a different steroid as I am violently opposed/allergic to Pred..I nearly lost my mind on it ......plus I get paracetamol & anti histamine & the latter is what makes me so sleepy.
Right now I've just been told I have two Bursars, one on my hip & one on my knee......so they'd better........xxxxxx off before my next infusion, or I'll be the mad woman walking the corridors pushing my infusion stand. No way at the moment can I sit still for 7+ hours,
that's what they said was in the injections.. gave me antihistamine later. V glad of the pred y'day as i asked in all innocence him indoors 'did u spill water in bathroom by any chance'. mind u, thought twice b4 asking, ...but turned out twas a leak from upstairs shower room above and dripping thru the light. Last time that happened it was deliberate, loopy greek landlady on small island nr Rodos. anyways, mr rush here turns off elec ,sensibly, then takes down half the ceiling. at 78 with hi bp n more ... not a sensible action ... doesn't trust workmen etc etc.. i cleared up n set a bucket last nite. Today he's off fishing n i'm off 2lunch for a 'goss' [moan - moi?] with a g/friend.. es la vida etc etc. at least not boring n i can take off myself... take care, xox
If you ever need a new job, have you considered a double act? "Two crazy ladies" has a certain ring don't you think? I would be free for weddings, christenings and bar mitzvahs
What a good job you found your leak quickly. I had a water tank leak back in February,& it took until June to completely fix things, new tank fitting took two weeks, then a new hall ceiling, new hall flooring, landing & stair carpet, not to mention redecorating hall stairs & landing .
Didn't much like no heating or hot water & having to stay in an hotel for two weeks in the coldest weeks of the year & having to be back at house to let in workmen by 8am each day!
But hey.... I now have a beautifully decorated hall etc, which I had been thinking about for ages, & would probably still just be "thinking" about....so it's an ill wind & all that!!!
It's good to hear such a positive experience of RTX and I hope all your transfusions go as smoothly and give a wonderful result. I love your sense of humour, it's given me a proper giggle this morning. Hugs
I'll be more positive if it works..... now it's wait n see time, tho better than mtx anyway... which reminds me - did u lose your cough? I lost mine once off Mtx, soft cheeses - and bananas - who wd have thought they give u sinus drip?? thanks for yr good wishes - take care xox
Thanks for asking but I think I've got the cough for life tbh. It's a nuisance but nothing awful and I still have fabulous abs. I didn't know bananas gave a person post nasal drip either so there's yet another thing to give up. Everything that can be is crossed for a good result for you
