Abatacept Infusion positive Update

Hi all of you who have been helping me sort out my swap to infusions. Well my delivery arrived as planned this morning. 2 great big boxes! Wasn't expecting that. The guy who delivered it chatted for a while & said there had been quite a few hiccups in organising everything. He said if I hadn't heard from a nurse about a starting date then to call them tomorrow. Then this afternoon I received a call to arrange the infusion which is now arranged for Thursday Again wasn't expecting that either! Whilst I've been having my tea it suddenly dawned on me that the admin lady who called said when did you have your last injection? I said last Wednesday. I'm now thinking that maybe she meant the last injection that I currently have in the fridge ( not the last time I injected ) which was what I had thought she meant & that's why they arranged it so quickly 🤷‍♀️ I was due to inject tomorrow then I would have had 1 left. Oh well. She has also booked my next 2 infusions taking me into September. It feels so much better knowing whats happening & when. Thanks again everyone for your help x

Hurrah! Very glad it is happening! Things happening 😀 … and not happening 🤨here re switch to syringes but I’m too tired at the mo to explain, but I’ll be chasing Lloyds again tomorrow!

Glad you have some progress. I tried to get my first infusion moved forward as my GP seems to think I am having to wait to long. I did ask him to contact rheumy team - nope so I did and they were not helpful. So it's still roll on 20 August

Oh sorry I forgot to reply. Sorry your GP is not being helpf. Yes definitely roll on 20th August. x
