Yesterday I had a headache and sore throat, and unusually a bit of a chilly feeling, this morning the rash is back. Same as before but not as bad so the GP was right the Shingrex vaccine is not that effective but it’s better than nothing. At he said 74% at least it provides protection for the majority of people. Rash photographed it’s an Econsult tomorrow for the Acyclovir which will help. Just to say it’s not as painful as last time but if anyone is in doubt please get the vaccine preferably before the biologics as the live one one allegedly works better than Shingrex but either way don’t get Shingles. Today my back is irritated, sore and my leg a bit burny. Last time I thought I was being set on fire and the pain was awful for weeks, hopefully this time it’s only a couple of days. It’s a sofa day and I neeeeed a cup of tea and cake as my granddaughter would say I neeeeed a fruit shoot and gingerbread man. She knows they are in the freezer and last week came out with “ grandad did you know ice cream wants you to eat it as it melts if if isn’t” as her dad had said no to her. lol

Shingles
Oh what rotten luck. I hope the Acyclovir kicks the shingles into touch pdq. Sending healing thoughts
Pharmist told me the vaccine we is only supposed to work for 2 years.
Oh not again ML…..how does it always find you?
Really hope it’s over without too much pain this time.
So sorry you’ve got it again. Wot a bugger. Hope it clears very soon!
So sorry to hear the shingles has come back 😞😞😞. Hope the antiviral meds work quickly 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 xxx
Poor lady I had shingles when I was 30 and pregnant...it was awful. Hopefully you feel better soon.
I had the antivirals and they worked very quickly for me.
Thank you all and seen the GP this morning and confirmed Shingles so got the Acylovir and fudge, now to just do nothing as feel awful. I think fudge could be described as a medical necessity when the back really hurts. My medical records also said l only had one jab but I’d my phone on me and showed GP the dates of both appointments so that had to be corrected. But watching the news it’s sobering to think no matter how my head aches or my back hurts I am fortunate that I live in a Country that has the NHS and medical services. So many dreadful reports on the news that are of so much suffering and heartbreaking images that are hard to watch when we can’t do anything. X
Sorry to hear that the shingles is back ml, hope you feel better very soon, and that the supply of fudge is endless…. 💐
