Just been started on naproxen for psa. Making me feel spaced out and nausea, do side effects of medication decrease after being on it for a period of time? As know some do after a while. TIA

Naproxen
I'm on 500 mg of naproxen and I find the best way of tacking them is with a biscuit or piece of toast and always with a hot drink as it lines your tummy stopping the side affects aborbtion let us know if this helps
Have you been prescribed a stomach protector like Omaprezole to take alongside it.
Naproxen is an NSAID like Ibruprofen so shouldn’t have too many side effects, though we are all different & react to drugs differently, it isn’t in the same league as the DMARDS like Methotrexate , Sulfasalazine, Leflunomide, Hydroxychloroquine etc.
I personally don’t like it as Diclofenic suited me better.
To be honest the less you take of all NSAID’s the better for your tum.

Unfortunately, even with a stomach protector Naproxen gave me dreadful gastric issues and had to stop. I don't seem to tolerate NSAIDS at all. Taken with food they could suit you because we are all different in our disease and reactions. I hope you feel better soon

I love Naproxen! I always take with food and a big drink of water and I have never had side effects. It is a brilliant painkiller and gets things under control when I need it to. For me it works quickly and therefore it's my rainy day med to take and leave off when my arthritis calls ...or not as the case may be!
I hope this helps CBA84.
