Oh well

Well the job I applied for and desperately wanted and needed didn't happen. Had a rejection email yesterday, feeling a bit low today plus it was part time and didn't mention my RA, so no idea what the reason was apart from it was a very popular vacancy. Have to carry on the search 😩

I know that feeling well too , it’s horrible when you don’t achieve it but chin up Im sure something will come your way which will be ideal for you x

It's frustrating as that was ideal, years of experience in the job and didn't get it.

I think you're amazing for going to interviews in the first Place! Don't think I'm brave enough, or have the energy for all that. The interview for my last job was hellish. A panel, a written piece, and role play...plus a second interview. All for a stressful, poorly paid job that I got made redundant from after three years!

I didn't get my ideal job either. 3 month later it came up again and I got it. Won lots of awards so you never know what date has in store for you xx

Apart from RA I have now turned 60. How do I present a CV that disguises that, while showing I have the experience to do the job, 28 applications in and not even a nibble. I don't think these jobs actually exist😀. Good news though the job centre offered me a job interview at lego land working with small children, then gave me a leaflet about plumbing apprenticeships and told me my ideal job, according to a very long form, is being a jewellery designer, maybe they missed the part about joints especially fingers not working all the time.

Well that's their loss and you were probably too good for their rotten job. It's nothing personal, though. As you said, it was a very popular vacancy. Maybe unlucky this time but the next could be even more perfect. Onward and upward
