Wonder how anyone on these injections, gets their prescription? Currently collecting from the hospitals Boots pharmacy where my rheumatologist is based, but due to a change in circumstances, this is no longer easy. Boots won't redeliver to my local pharmacy and it's 2 hours out of my day to collect these?

Tociluzumab injections
In Canada, I can take my prescription to any pharmacy to have it filled. If I want to or need to change pharmacies, then original pharmacy will send documentation to the new pharmacy.
Maybe ask at the pharmacy you are using now to forward prescription to one closer to you.
I get my Abatacept delivered at home or at my GP surgery by Lloyd’s Pharmacy Clinical Homecare
Hi- I'm in Essex, England and I have a company called Healthcare at Home who contact me to arrange delivery every 8 weeks. They even deliver to my workplace, if that's where I'll be, as my Cimzia has to be kept refrigerated. Guess I'm lucky there. Could you contact your rheumatologist and/or arrange for a delivery from a parcel delivery firm?
I am the same. My injections are delivered by healthcare at home. They deliver to my local pharmacy and I collect them from there.
The only downside is they won’t take my filled sharps bins at the pharmacy so occasionally I have the delivery come to my home address and they swap over the bins then for empty ones. It works really well!!
Speak to your Rheumatologist they will have to accommodate you somehow!??
As freckle71 said- I have my full sharps bin collected from my house. For me, I have an arrangement with my local council, I simply ring a number and they tell me which day to leave my bin/bins (I have 2 different injections) out. I work, so I leave them in my storm porch - magic! ☺
Lloyds pharmacy clinical Homecare deliver my toc to either my home or work. Your rheumatologist should sort it out for you.
Hi I live rurally in north in Scotland so mine has been delivered to my home up until a change recently with the delivery system. Used to come at same time every month, but now I get a text at 8pm night before giving me 2hour slot of expected delivery. This can be anything from 8-10am to 4-6pm. Quite unmanageable to arrange work hours around that. So now it goes to GP practice but has to be collected within 24hours. Which us much more manageable.
I'm giving you all this info just in case they offer to deliver it. It's not an ideal solution- at least not up here.
Best of luck with it.
I also have to collect them from Lloyd’s chemist at the hospital, I have asked if I could collect them from a branch nearer to my home or have them delivered but the answer was no. I was told the home delivery company would not take on any new drugs.
I have mine delivered to my home. They are delivered by Lloyds home care every 3 months.
