Bruise from Friday's infusion.

Should I be concerned? Although difficult to see in photo, there are ugly purple lines running through my wrist.

My hand looks large in picture but wrist is small.

Hi Damaged.. I've not had that happen before from an infusion. I would just place a call to my doc to just check if you are uncertain... Let us know what they say..

I forgot to mention the bruise! I am also having issues with high blood pressure(usually very low) and chest pains.

My hips have improved due to cortisone shots. So some good news lol

I do appreciate having six months to take a break from all drugs. I will have Rituxan in my system but nothing else. This will determine if it is making any difference. I was hoping to take a break from doctors as well but not so lucky. I clearly have infection somewhere as continue fevers. I suspect my lungs and UTI. It never ends, does it ? As soon as one issue is addressed something else pops up lol

I am so grateful for the many advantages I do have. I hope you all have a great day.

Yeah - It seems like it for sure...(always something new...). I feel like every office visit I have, I get another disease - ha ha. The most recent is Raynaud's... sigh... Hope you are feeling better!

Today has been a very reasonable day. I managed to accomplish some tasks. Certainly more than in the last few weeks lol 😂 it is still poring rain ☔️ so I try to keep myself distracted. It feels great to have a clean kitchen again. I am almost at a point were I need a housekeeper. I just cannot handle mops, brooms or vacuums . I just cannot imagine letting someone else clean my house 🏠 but I need help now. I cannot reach to dust or wipe things Ext.

I have never had a housekeeper either, but it sure would be nice. My friend has one and she loves it. The lady comes every Tuesday and does the whole house. I think that sounds wonderful huh? My biggest problem is that I would feel like I need to clean the house before the housekeeper came over - ha ha

I just bought a couple of aids.. The Bissell hard floor steamer- does a miracle job on my kitchen tiles. I used to have to clean it three times and wipe it dry with an old bath towel to avoid streaks. Now once over with the Bissell and it dries without streaks.

I just bought another unit that is a battery powered scrubber with five different heads. It will work on floors, tubs, vehicles, house siding, etc. I am excited to they that out too because cleaning the shower is killing me...

Good luck with whichever you decide...

Hi Damaged!

I’m so sorry to hear you are having problems after your infusion. I sure hope things get better soon. It seems like we are in a similar boat so to speak. I have my second infusion of Rituxan tomorrow morning. I’ve had the milder side effects so far. The most frustrating thing is my feet have always hurt but I’ve now got a place just below my outside ankle on the top that is hurting really bad. My doc says it can take 6 weeks to tell if Rituxan is working or not. I’ve been waking up every morning looking for Improvement to no avail. I hope this works for you and that it doesn’t make you sick. Try to avoid the flu like the plague, stay hydrated and warm.

Very challenging at this time of year. It seems we are being exposed to two different bugs not usually seen together!! Nothing like a challenge! I am trying to talk my husband into getting a flu shot. He is the one more likely to bring something home.

I have been on Rituxan for a year. My inflammation came down before I started these infusions. It has not changed RA . I was feeling good for a few days and thought I was finally going to respond! Back to the same sad situation lol

It must have been the two doses of Prednisone.

The good news is I no longer need to worry about it. I have six months to decide what is next. For now I will just focus on diet, and alternative approaches.

Hi sorry you've got a large bruise and hope it's not too painful. I have one which is smaller same place from yesterday where they put the cannula in at my Rituximab infusion then the vein popped and they had to go in my inner other arm. That's gone bonkers too with lots of small bruises and one large one where the plastic coverings and taping up of the needle etc affected my arm. I'm a mottled purple and black. I'm plastic sensitive though so eight hours of infusion with sticky latexy things on me is always going to cause some madness! Hope this is a one off and doesn't happen again for you.
