In relation to RA or thyroid or meds or all or what?!😁. I used very gentle products such as Shu Uemera .. Not cheap but last for absolutely ages! I used Klorane oatmeal shampoo for dry scalp a few years ago and that was soothing and lovely. Also I use Inevto coconut oil conditioner which you can leave in as its a soothing spray, on lazy days or when arms hurt! Hope your scalp calms. Is your skin dry too or just scalp? x

What sort of issues? I get a sore scalp and scabby bits too which I’m sure are due to the Mxt . Having had skin cancers for years it does worry me a bit. I’ve already had one removed from my scalp and this has left a little patch where the hair doesn’t grow.

Psoriasis. That’s what my little scalp sores are. My current rheumatologist thinks I may have PA instead of RA. Pine Tar shampoo helps where none of the others did. I haven’t had a flare since being in azathioprine.

I do! I have developed so many skin issues it’s crazy, but dermatologist says it’s because of RA, autoimmune system and medications combined. I first developed something called granuloma annulare which took almost a year. Then a place on scalp just above my ear and around the back of my ear that is seborrheic dermatitis and it causes places on my scalp. The dermatologist prescribed desonate cream to get under control and said to use antibacterial soap and shampoo. I use the cream when it flares but also have recently started making my own products with natural ingredients to avoid chemicals & crap that just makes everything worse. A great scalp treatment is actually raw local honey. It is natural antibacterial and very soothing. Plus my hair is super soft and shiny, and may actually help with my hair loss!
