I always sent my two to school as did my mum,and if we needed to be sent home then it is the schools decision. I think it helps their immune system to intergrate with other children. x

Hello...without sounding rude I think only you or their father can make that decision about sending them to school...go with your own intuition? Having said that if it’s a tummy bug I would have defiinitely kept mine off until they’d been symptom free for 48 hours..as no one will thank you for getting that?! You know what it’s like as well you can feel rubbish at home but once you out and back in normal routine you can feel a lot better. This time of year bugs etc are rife..a lot of people I know have been affected this year. Best wishes 😊

When I was young, my dad, always structure education would not have allowed us a day off school unless we’d actually broken something and the medical advice was not to go into school!

With my four girls, rightly or wrongly, I’m pretty much the same. Unless it is something like vomiting etc wherein they’d run the risk of infecting others, I’ve always sent them in.

My experience is barring the above, generally speaking, once they’re in school, they tend to perk up.
