Well you all know what happened to me re; Saturday night. Well last night my darling hubby came up with the cocoa and then things went weird as he started talking what i would call silly,he queried why the heating was on that late at night, then he asked was it Xmas day and when i said it was he kept saying was it. I rang my son and then i rang 111 who said a dr would ring within two hours. Any way he started to sweat and he took a drink of water and then it twigged with me that he was dehydrated so i made him keep drinking and son and wife came over. His bp spiked at over 200 and we kept making him drink the water and after a spell it started to come down and his memory started to come back in bits.ANyway my son and wife went home at one as the dr hadn't rang so we settled down to sleep and at 3am the nurse rang to say the dr was so busy and i told her not to bother as he had come through it and i explained to her what had happened and after a chat she was satisfied with that.
Come to this morning and neither of us feel great so tomorrow morning i will be onto the drs first thing to get appointments for us both. Also A&e rang to get me into to see them tomorrow afternoon to follow up from Saturday evening.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and it was peaceful and painfree for you all.xxxx

Omg darling you been through it ain't you xmas eve my art we had a hypo and couldn't feel his hands feet I was at work and had to talk him through what to eat drink over the phone so scary take care xx
Thank you darling we was lucky in that we found out ourselves what was wrong with him rather than wait for the dr to ring which when the phone went at about 3am we was asleep and the dr was super busy.. you sound like you had your problems as well darling i hope your other half is ok now darling.xxxxxxx
Oh sweetheart I hope your husbands alright he’s your rock , hopefully your ok too it must have been so frightening for both of you let’s of hope 2018 will be better for us all 💕 Dawn
It was scary for both us and our children as Grace stayed with me and her dad the whole night keeping George and his wife informed during the night as tthey were at work. Then last night George and Andreea stayed with me while we looked after dh and we let our Grace rest as she needed it as she hasn't been sleeping very well due to anxiety.
Next year has to be better doesn't it. Thank you DC56 and youPopsmith1874 i appreciate your concern and i feel your all my family as well.xxx
Noooooo! Poor Sylvi and hubby. Dehydration (and UTI's) disorientate people (especially when we get over fifties and then in the senior years) as I found out with my Mum. Always best to check these things out though. Sounds as if you are both very exhausted so I hope you can get more rest and feel back on track soon. Keep drinking water and lots of cuppas. I am guilty too and drink less in the cold weather and then feel parched. Hoping for a less eventful rest of holidays and take care. xxxxx
Oh flip. These times are hard enough but over Cmas as well. You know a lot more about this than me but try not to stress ( I know silly thing to say ). When its those we love as well as our problems its very difficult. So pleased the professionals are looking after you and what a lovely family you have. Take care and I look forward to hearing how things go today.
Yes we did we saw our gp on Wednesday morning and she helped us especially hubby and i believe he is not suffering as much with his hernia and i am sleeping a bit better. Thank you for caring.xxxx
Shocking. That's the problem with 111 compared to seeing an out of hours DR. i had to use 111 not long ago as I was coughing up blood during a COPD - I was promised a doctor with an hour and yes the phone rang, but he was not there. I rang 111 again and he was busy, but he rang back within 5 minutes, so that was not to bad..We had an after hours surgery with DR's from the areas practices which was good - Now they have all moved to the local hospital and are called urgent Care. We have an A &E reduced to 12 hours and a 24 hour urgent care. When I rang urgent Care I was advised to ring 111 - so confusing. 111 do their best but are no substitute for a patient Dr contact...Hope you are both OK now and have better luck at the New Year,,
I was advised to do just that be the Doctor who rang me. I have always had good care, but - After hours face to face was better that 111 - however 111 are doing better are getting priorities right.
sylvi if you wrote this down in a book people would think it couldn’t be true life, must b e fiction - nobody could have so much bad luck! I hope you get some sense out of the Drs! Good luck.
I had something similar happen 17yrs ago when my mum died and ended in November with my uncle died and my daughter was threatened the latter we all think was mistaken identity, but it was blooming awful. It would never happen in east enders now would it lol.xxx
