Bit of an update. May be AS not RA!

So not posted for a while as still waiting for results of latest MRI. I'm still in as much pain as I ever was and now my elbows are so painful I need help washing my hair and showering.

Examination of my elbows shows the same as my knees, ankles and fingers. Swelling and fluid around the joints not in them. Latest physio appointment resulted in me being covered head to toe in tubigrip!

My ant-ccp has returned to normal however I have tested positive for the genetic marker for ankylosing spondylitis. It doesn't mean I have it but it is leading that way. It would also fit better with my symptoms.

My cholesterol has also dropped from 8.8 to 7.1 the only thing I changed was to start drinking benecol on the advice of the British Heart Foundation.

Hi Helzbells. I'm so sorry you are still suffering. It sounds a though you have taken a couple of steps nearer a diagnosis at least. Fingers crossed it means you starting an effective treatment very soon. Your tubigrip outfit must have been a sight to behold! Gentle hugs
