My friend, who is also my eldest's Godmother, had a bilateral knee replacement last week. I am currently making bath bombs for Christmas gifts....would sending my friend some be a good idea? Will she be able to use them?
Thanks,
Dani
P.S. photos to be posted when this batch is cured!

Maybe not at Christmas, but in the new year when her knee has healed. It is going to take a few weeks for her to recover from this surgery, but it will give her something to look forward to when all the Christmas is over.xxxx
I work as an orthopaedic nurse. We usually advise to not climbing in and out of the bath for 6 weeks, till seen by their surgeon. Might not be possible by Xmas but should be able to early this n the new year. A lovely pamper gift, I’m sure she will enjoy 😁
Hi, the other two posts are valid replies, but can I add another , how deep is her bath ?
We had a new home built in 2001 & had the then luxury of a very deep claw foot bath in our ensuite. ( in those days we likes the romance of a together bath) . I had both knees /knee caps replaced in 2013 and I can get in but I can't get out !
We are not supposed to kneel on our new knees at all., So since that traumatic but comical day I've been a shower girl . I've had lots of gifts over the years of bath oils, etc but they all go to jumble sales or as raffle prizes cos the days of a long soak are long gone . So please just check she actually can still use her bath ..x
Thank you! I believe that she has a whirlpool type tub and a separate shower....but the last time I was at her home, my youngest (now 25)was in second grade...so its been awhile. The bombs can also be set in the shower, just not in the direct stream. I just want to do something nice for her as we have All grown up and much more companionable now(lol)!
Thanks Everyone for the helpful suggestions!!! I can also make shower "bombs" which foam up and make lovely scent for your shower...I will be making 2 sets of these. One for the person I asked about and one for my eldest son's mother-in-law who also has knee problems!
