I had mine on Wednesday Pfizer so that’s 2 x Astra Zeneca and 2 x Pfizer. Ever since I have had really dry, burning, itchy eyes. I stopped my drugs Rinvoq the day before, day of and day after on guidance of my rheumatologist. I didn’t have this problem with no 3, so just wondered if anybody else was the same. I have drops that I get anyway for my eyes so using them every half hour to help.
If it’s no better by Monday I will contact my GP. I did speak to my local chemist but I was the first person she had met who had 4 vaccines.

That’s a bit sobering.I had nasty reactions to my first two AZ vaccinations…in fact I waited 6 months for my third Primary- which was Pfizer & I didn’t even have a sore arm.I will now think twice about a 4th injection.
In fact if it isn’t a must do to travel….I think I will pass.
I had the half-dose Moderna and was OK for the first 24 hours but then the sore arm started and I felt quite tired but it only lasted a couple of days. What a fabulous photo - very atmospheric, did you take it?
Studies have shown that you only need a half dose of Moderna to boost the immune system well. This half dose of Moderna is expected to have a low rate of side effects including myocarditis.
That's a shame no I was fine after my 4th , not even a sore arm this time , I'd defo check with the docs and yellow card it. Hope you feel better soon and what a stunning photo x
That was my reason for actually having a third primary after 6 months……if Omicron hadn’t come along I would not have chanced it…..I felt so bad for so long after the first two…& my rheumy agreed with me…it’s good it seemed to work out for most of us.
All 4 Pfizer vaccine have given me a spate of mouth ulcers, but I think the benefit of the vaccine far outweigh the side effects.....and the first one made me feel very unwell with a massive RD flare that lasted over a week.
My RD has been in flare since first AZ vaccination last March and remained so during second AZ and third Pfizer, not due a fourth but all RD symptoms in mild flare (Stills Disease) which I think is my new norm now .
My first two vaccines were AZ and the third was Pfizer in October 21. I didn't think to connect my sore eyes as well as itchy skin around the eyes which got worse over a few weeks of having the 3rd Pfizer jab. As a result I got my eyes tested in November 21 and was asked to take drops for dry eyes. My eyes are better now but still taking drops twice a day. I am due my fourth jab and I am really worried about taking it.☺️
I had my vaccine on wed, it is already starting to ease, my side effects are exactly as you had with the 3rd. I would say it’s a wee bit better today. I went and got E45 cream and have been putting that on my eyes as my moisturiser was irritating it. Hopefully it’s on the mend. Hope you manage the 4th, I would be too scared not to take it
I had a strong reaction after no 4. All mine have been Pfizer with only a painful arm for 24 hours - so I was surprised when this time I was laid up in bed for 24 hours!!! Arm pain not so bad as before but feverish/bitterly cold, all joints firing off, bad headache, gross fatigue, metallic taste in my mouth and sore eyes. Paracetamol helped a bit - All totally resolved by 36 hours … then wouldn’t have know anything had been amiss! Didn’t stop my meds of MTX and Humira as Rheumatology said didn’t need to with the other vaccinations.
I had that reaction to my third, btw only the eyes with the 4th. Glad to hear you are on the mend
Fantastic photo, did you take it?Eyes- slightly weepy and blood shot since first AZ, stayed like it after second AZ and still like it after third Pfizer. Not due a fourth. General flare if all my symptoms since first vaccination (note my diagnosis is unusual) so am accepting it now as MY normal and just another thing to tolerate. 👁
I had a bad reaction after the 1st my RA went mad and drugs stopped working. This disease is terrible. No I didn’t take the photo but I loved it. It was taken last week when we had beautiful skies
I had flu like symptoms and fatigue after the first 2 AZ shots, i carried on my medication as usual both times. . I stopped my MTX jab before the first booster of pfizer and had a flare and flu type reaction over a week. This time for the fourth jab I continued my meds as usual and just had a tender sore arm but no other reaction
I, like you , have had 2 AZ and 2 Pfizer vaccines.. I still have a large lump at the site of my first AZ jab but no other reactions to first 3. However since 4th Pfizer jab I have had headache for 4 days and intense fatigue. Granddaughter has had bad cold( all family negative on LFTs daily). Due to travel in 3 weeks so hope I'm ok by then
First two jabs were AstraZenica with no reaction . 3rd was Pfizer followed by two days of feeling “off”. 4 th was half Moderna , end of December , felt “off” and RA flare in right ankle . I still have slight swelling and pain in ankle but gradually improving . Going along with “ no pain, no gain” maxim . 😒
You have my sympathy re your eyes I get that too 😕 I have had a Pfizer for all my jabs, couldn’t decide last time whether to have it as it has made my IBS and stomach problems worse, I have also had very bad rashes which are so hot/itchy and drive me mad. I have been having antihistamines for months and waiting for an appointment at the skin clinic. I also feel weak and have no energy whatsoever. I know catching any form of Covid is dangerous but I really feel I have no quality of life having the vaccinations either 🙁
I really feel for you with the skin issues, I’ve had the same off and on over the years and it’s just the worst. It took ages for et antihistamines to kick in, my skin would bleed all over from scratching and it literally drive me insane. After trying various treatments I ended up on a high dose of ebastine which I was able to taper off again eventually. I hope you find what works for you quickly 🙏
Hi, yes having suffered as I have over the years with RA and a hundred other autoimmune symptoms, I am more afraid of flare ups caused by vaccination than I am of covid. With a 99.74 % survival rate I think the odds stack up well. I got Covid last year and had flu symptoms for 2 weeks which was a lot easier to deal with than my RA has been in the past!
