Enberel finally arrived !

Three weeks ago I posted that I was going back to my beloved Enberel after 5 weeks of Benepali making my RA worse. After no meds apart from sulfasalazine for 3 weeks I was feeling good but hands and feet just starting to cause problems then last night H@H finally delivered my Enberel. Made my husband open package while I signed for it to make sure it was Enberel and not Benepali then scurried upstairs for injection ! Felt great today apart from a sore back due to over enthusiastic getting up this morning.😃

In these circumstances it is nerve racking opening the package isn’t it! Glad it has arrived and hope all goes well and you feel benefits soon. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you. RA feeling better already after only 24 hours. Feel so lucky to be back on Enberel again.

Enbrel is brilliant, I took it for over 5 years before it stopped working, I was gutted.

You said it good to be back on it, is this your second time and if my present reatment doesn’t work Can I ask to go back onto Enbrel ???

Interesting question. I don’t personally have any experience but, as I have been in enbrel for a couple of years, I look forward to seeing any comments and answers to your question.

I just wondered if it had stopped working for you and they gave you a break and put you back on it.

It’s miles better than the one I am on now 😞😞😞😞

Your suggested scenario Is something I had never considered.

I am currently on enbrel and doing ok.

From the original post it seems that Furle was switched to Benepali, the biosimilar for Enbrel. She had problems with the switch over, the Benapali didn’t work as well for her, so asked her rheumatologist to switch her back to Enbrel

Hi, I was moved on to the biosimilar Benepali but it made my RA worse so my rheumatology team arranged for me to back to Enberel . Had been on Enberel since 2009 with no problems at all and has started working again immediately .

My reason for coming off Enberel was different to yours so I am uncertain if it would be the same for you. Hope you find something that works well for you.

I was on Embrel it stopped working after 3years went onto humera it didn't work after 6mths asked my rheaumtoglist could I try Enbrel again he said he was happy to let me it depends on ur rheaumtoglist some are happy to work with u mine is brill

Congratulations on getting your Enbrel back. I’ve been switched over to Benepali as well but so far seems to be okay.
