Hi, I'm new here. Has anyone tried LDN for Rheumatoid Arthritis? All the rheumatoid drugs taken over 20yrs, have either given bad side effects, not worked, or stopped working!! Desperate to try something else and heard about this for various conditions.
Low dose Naltrexone: Hi, I'm new here. Has anyone tried... - NRAS
Low dose Naltrexone
Have been using for nearly two years. On these websites you'll find all the information you need.😊👍🏻
Good luck! It is most certainly worth a try. xxSimba
Good to hear Simba. Thanks for replying. Is it controlling your RA well? It's for my husband. Already in contact with a Dr.who prescribes it, from the websites you recommended, and taking all vitamin supplements he recommended. Hope to start this week!! Stel x
Many have real good results with LDN. For RA it seems to often take a longer time to kick in. It is. quite individual though. Of some reason it does not work for 10-15%. I am controlling my inflammation with diet and supplements and have recently started a protocol with vit B3. I'm putting LDN on hold now to see where the B3 vit takes me. Here is the link to summery of the therapy, if you are interested.

The LDN doctor recommended many vitamins +diet, but not B3. I'll ask him whether it's worth adding that in. Getting desperate as he is in a lot of pain. Glad to hear that you are controlling your inflammation.
Look at the link and protocol. You can print it out for your doc to see what he thinks. B3 therapy is nontoxic, does not interfere with other meds, water solvable. You can only win😊Has a lot of other benefits too.😊Gives you good deep sleep. Calms your stress reaction. and so on.
Thanks again Simba. Will start taking B3 (actually got B complex tablet-so hope that's ok ). As you say, it can do no harm, and hopefully will help.
The key is to take high daily doses of B3. B complex does not have enough, but good to take alongside the high B3 dose. To see effect you need to try to get up to 4g a day and use it for a long period. Start with.I started with 5x500mg then add on slowly. You can take more for the night. It gives you a very good restful sleep. Good luck. xxSimba
I'd better order some high dose ones as these only contain 30mg.
Take Niacindamine 500mg separately not niacin. You can order on amazon. Thorne a good brand.
If you put it in the search box you will find lots of people with experience.
I have been to see an LDN doc about this, but I currently take hydroxychloroquine and the feeling is that you cannot do both i.e. Hydroxy is like putting your foot on the brake and LDN the accelerator. I have not yet had the confidence to give up the hydroxy, wait several weeks nd then start the trial on finding the right balance on LDN. With hindsight I wish I had done this first because I only had mild symptoms at the time. The LDN approach is not supported/ recognised by any of the NHS medical people I come into contact with, and they do not have an opinion on supplements either, so I have really struggled to understand the pros/cons and form an opinion for myself and specific to my situation. Why not call one of the registered docs on the LDN website and see how you feel about it following that. Good luck.
LDN is an internationally recognized and used med by many prominant doctors with a lot of research going on. There is an abundance of information on the above mentioned websites if you want to really understand LDN and it's role in AI. It is not true that hydroxy and LDN couldn't be taken together. Only opioids are ruled out. The effect of LDN is on the normal immune function by increasing Treg cells wich calm down the immune response as well as calms the glia cells in your brain, decreasing the symptom of pain.
There are 500 LDN prescribing doctors in the Uk who have the special training in using LDN.
I hope this is of some help😊xxSimba
I have not seen a list. This figure was given on a review over use of LDN. The easiest way to get LDN in UK is through Clinic 158 in Glasgow. You supply patient info. have phone doctor consultation. LDN shipped to you. Works really well.
