We have fires all around us (Northern California) , my husband is out dove hunting for the entire holiday weekend(😠)& my asthma decided that yesterday afternoon was the perfect time for a semi serious attack. Husband and truck are at the other end of the state. Only one of my kids drives. Sooooo, had to decide whethr to call an ambulance. Decided to try medicinal tea first with a promise that if it didn't work or things got worse, I would first see if Oldest or Wifey were available or call an ambulance. Fortunately, the tea worked. I still feel really tight and congested though.
On the bright side, my (American) football team won their first game! Geaux Tigers!!!

With all those fires around you, I'm not surprised your asthma kicked off and I hope it has settled down again now. It's probably the worst feeling in the world, not being able to breathe I think. Do you have inhalers for it? Wishing you better.
You are all suffering in the States with the weather by floods or fire and i hope you stay safe darling. I am glad you were able to manage your asthma with tea, what sort do you use as i am asthmatic and i would be interested in it. Mine is well controlled thank goodness and i have good drs looking after me.xxxxx
Hi Sylvi and Jan! Inhalers don't work so well for me-they just seem to give me the jitters. I use Traditional Medicines Breathe Easy tea and if necessary, go to the ER for a breathing treatment. Hope y'all have good day!
I'm so glad they work for you. Unfortunately, nothing but the inhalers do it for me. I really, really don't want to end up admitted to the hospital on nebulisers again. Truly scarey places
Hi Jan-fortunately for me, our hospital is the one my husband works at, I worked at and my youngest was born at. Everyone either knows me or knows my husband..so I get good care and know who to ask for for bloods, xrays and respiratory. My husband's hunting buddies are my favorites-especially the lab tech-he's from Louisiana so we talk football...

The sun was a bright orange as I brushed ash off of my car this morning as I had to run to the store...makes me wonder what this smoke & ash is doing to my lungs?....Vancouver spent 2 weeks of August blanketed with smoke from the BC interior. Finally the smoke cleared....now we have the Washing State forrest fires blanketing us with smoke. ....When oh when will it rain? We haven't had rain since mid May.
All these uncontrolled wildfires happening on the West Coast of North America this summer is horrific. I do not have asthma but I am still finding it hard to breathe. Maybe I should look into these medicinal teas you use. What brand or type helps you?
Hi Suzanne! We call these summers "black sky" summer. I use Traditional Medicine brand Breathe Easy and Gypsy Cold Care and Throat Coat. All work beautifully. Breathe Easy tastes like licorice so if you don't like black licorice beware!
